Paseo Verde Christian Church believes strongly in having a four prong focus for ministry. When executed with excellence in all four areas, we believe we will be meeting our Biblical mandate most effectively.

I. Family Focus

Parental Discipleship Training-PVCC provides intensive training in parenting which emphasizes parental responsibility in developing their children as disciples of Christ. Parental Discipleship Notebooks are provided for every child as Fathers and Mothers are equipped to teach their own children the basics of Biblical understanding and wisdom.
P.I.T. Stops (Parents In Training Stops)-P.I.T. Stops provide quarterly, specialized equipping on select Saturday mornings, providing special speakers, workshops, along with free childcare and breakfast!
M.A.D. Support Groups (Mom And Dad Support Groups)- M.A.D. Groups are groups run for and by mothers and fathers whose goal is to provide firsthand encouragement and support in monthly fellowship groups, fathers meeting with other fathers, and mothers meeting with other mothers. These groups are small groups, yet seek to provide mutual support for moms and dads meeting the challenges of parenting.

O.W.L.S. Group Leaders

O.W.L.S. (Optimism, Wisdom, Leadership, Service) — The O.W.L.S. group is a group of seasoned parents who now have "empty nests" and provide an ongoing support system for specific couples in the church.
As a goal, PVCC is seeking to enlist O.W.L.S. to be matched to every young couple for the purpose of encouragement, mentoring, and discipleship. The O.W.L.S. couples meet with their designated younger couples at least once a month for casual fellowship and encouragement.

II. Leadership Focus

PVCC is an Elder-led church. In the New Testament, the early church was an autonomous church with a plurality of Elders/Pastors who were commissioned to oversee the life of the local body of Believers in all matters having to do with Faith and practice. Although the Eldership have direct responsibility for oversight, they see their role as servanthood above all other objectives.
PVCC is a Staff enhanced church. God has blessed PVCC with a select Staff of individuals who specialize in various areas of ministry, bringing excellence to those ministry areas.

III. Ministry Focus

We believe that every Christian is called to use the talents God has blessed him or her with to serve in His Kingdom, the Church. We have identified twenty-one different ministries for involvement here at PVCC: Benevolence, Children's, Building & Grounds, Audio-Visual, Discipleship, Family, Fine Arts, Jr. High, Men's, Missions, New Member, Outreach, Prayer, Public Relations, Recreation, Sr. High, Stewardship/Finance, Singles, Seniors, Small Groups, Women's

IV. New Testament Emphasis

We believe that the body of Christ is only as healthy as the New Testament worldview that they espouse. Generally, we believe that there are seven major dynamics for church spiritual and numerical growth: Convicted Biblical Preaching, Sound Biblical Teaching, Growing Involved Fellowship, Meaningful God-Focused Worship, Measured Complete Equipping, Supported Participatory Missions, and Active Selfless Service.
